First, you need to open the Instagram app, pretty obvious. Then you need to select the story option. This can be selected by swiping right on the screen. Another way to select the story option is by selecting your profile picture, found in the upper-left corner of the screen.
Next, you need to create a photo or create a video. You also have the option of adding a photo or video, if you press the small icon in the lower-left corner of the screen.
